Abstract

Psoriasis is an inflammatory disease characterized by skin involvement given by the presence of well-defined erythemato-squamous plaques that varies according to the clinical form. It is a chronic disease that occurs with outbreaks and remissions. It is considered a multisystemic disease since it can manifest itself in the skin, mucous membranes, nails and joints, as well as the eyes and ocular adnexa in 10% of patients. The eye can be affected with multiple manifestations from mild and superficial involvement to cases of intraocular involvement such as uveitis. The treatment of this pathology includes from topical corticosteroids to biological agents. The objective of this review was to compile the most up-to-date information on psoriasis and its ocular manifestation: uveitis.
