Abstract

Acral melanoma (AM) represents 10% of melanomas. To understand its dermatoscopic findings, it is necessary to interpret the anatomical structure of the palmoplantar skin, which is characterized by the presence, on its surface, of dermatoglyphics, formed by grooves and ridges of parallel distribution, eccrine glands and absence of hair follicles1.
