Is it important to publish during Dermatology training?

Abstract

A few months ago, we faced a challenging task: to form the Young Dermatologists Section of this prestigious journal. We knew that it was going to be our first formal encounter with scientific activity and, with enthusiasm, we “got down to work”.

Scientific journals occupy a priority place in undergraduate and graduate continuing medical education. During training as specialists, the act of preparing an article for publication enriches academic training, not only because it requires extensive review and study on a topic, but also because it exercises constant updating, broadens knowledge and stimulates the challenge of research.
