Abstract

Dermatomyositis (DM) is an inflammatory myopathy of unknown origin that generally presents a nonspecific skin histology. However, some cases of DM have been recorded with histopathology in which a diffuse neutrophilic infiltrate is observed in the dermis. We present the case of a patient with paraneoplastic DM whose skin biopsy revealed features compatible with Sweet-type neutrophilic dermatosis.
