Abstract

Acral persistent papular mucinosis (APPM) is a type of localized cutaneous mucinosis that is rarely observed. It predominantly affects women and it is located exclusively on the back of the hands, wrists and forearms. It is characterized by skin-coloured papules of 2-5 mm of diameter and patients have not clinical symptoms. It is not associated with other diseases. We report a 67 years-old male patient with APPM of typical characteristics and a revision of bibliography is made.
